Many readers have expressed sympathetic rage against the vast swathes of right-wing propaganda on FOX but have lacked an easy way of expressing that sentiment to establishments with FOX on the TV. No longer is that the case. We here at TurnOffFOX have created a set of cards for your use. Knowing that different people have varying tastes, or put another way, accept varying levels of conflict, we made three levels of cards.
Yes, you have three free downloadable options for leaving the message in public places — and to relatives and friends — to TurnOffFOX. You can download them from this page by clicking on their images below.
The moderate version of the card presents a simple point about how FOX can turn away customers without venturing into the offensive. It looks like this:
For those looking to retain all manner of politeness but would still appreciate a change in channel, even if they would rather not talk about it, we have the kindler, gentler card:
Finally, those not concerned with coming off as too aggressive and probably expecting a taciturn response, anyway, may want to look into our sternest card, one we affectionately refer to as Muy Caliente:
We hope you enjoy not only reading the cards, but also printing them off and putting them to good use. Remember that you use the cards at your own discretion. FOX News, however, broadcasts to all our peril. So print off the cards, let your friends know about them, and ask others out there to join the cause — and to Turn Off FOX.
Please send in tips and success stories to turnofffox@gmail.com, look out for us on Twitter @turnofffox, and join us at BuzzFlash in the Campaign to Turn Off FOX News.

Greg Palast noted in one of his talks a survey concerning current politics and world events where those who responded with most or all of their answers being contrary or completely opposite to the actual facts, were ALL regular watchers of Fox. Gee…what a surprise!!!

I am happy to report that I got a couple of the Jason’s Delis in San Antonio to keep it off as well as a couple of other places in town. Progress is made one step at a time.
Stop patronizing establishments that have the Fox propaganda playing for their unsuspecting patrons. Also, if possible, let them know that you’ll use similar establishments that do not subliminally proselytize the neocon agenda. Much as I enjoy an occasional Burger King burger, I’ve decided to not use my local Burger King outlet because it runs the Fox sludge, which I’ve had to endure on three occasions. Now when I fancy a burger I make a trip to local Hardie’s, which does not help to propagate the Fox propaganda.
Tell the businesses you patronize to turn off Fox with these great cards http://tinyurl.com/yc3ajb6 #foxnews #foxfail #topprog @buzzflash

Well, this may make you “feel better”, but I doubt it will be effective. The hospital my husband was in recently offered patients FAUX News and every other news channel free, except MSNBC. I wrote to the president and never heard back. I followed up twice with the patient liason who said she thought COMCAST only offered the package that way. She also said she would “check on it”, and so far, nothing.
What I did do that might be more effective is cancel my Comcast Service citing their obvious right-wing leanings as my reason. Perhaps if a few million people were to do the same ……
You forgot to make a card that says “No TV, please. Silence or good conversation is better than noise.”
Folks, noone is forced to watch or listen to garbage. Turn it off or tune into the people around, or your own thoughts. This is the wrong battle. I work for the DOD and live in Europe. “You betcha” it’s all about that psyop slant. But, it is easy just to stop tuning in. Spend your efforts getting people to identify what is right and in using their perogatives to say “no”. FOX news is nothing except the power we give it by making it IMPORTANT.
I disagree with Linda who says no one is forced to watch or listen to Fox. At home, I can avoid it, but in public places it is nearly impossible. Hospitals, waiting rooms, restaurants in my area not only play Fox, they play it so loud there is no way to concentrate on the reading material I always have with me. They even turned on Fox in my husband’s ICU room. I got that changed or turned off in a hurry. Here’s a suggestion for all who hate unavoidable TV in all public places: when there isn’t one, thank them for not having a loud TV blaring.
Linda I commend your view and advice. I am retired DOD Civillian and use the recreation facilities at the base. The TV is always on Fox News. I have begun a campaign to inform as many PAO’s at as many bases as possible to the Fox-terror connection. I hope that Stars and Stripes prints my letter, and the newspapers I’ve sent it to. Here is a copy. You are free to distribute or use it in any way. Hopefully we can open some service member’s eyes to how they are being used as props for these crass people who are only interested in making money. Watch your back and good luck!.
Al Quaida and other radical Islamists employment of suicide bombers as a tactic has destroyed more than 135 lives among our defense forces. One man in particular is renowned for his unabashed contributions of $25,000 to the families of the bombers who attack our troops and sacrifice themselves to their cause. Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a member of the Royal Family now owns a 7 percent interest in Robert Murdoch’s News Corp. the parent company of Fox News, making him the 4th largest investor . He funds and supports the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR which lobbies’ on behalf of Islamic Interests and is blacklisted by our government . CAIR is identified by the FBI as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator. Bill O’Reilly actually called CAIR’s National Communications Director a “stand up guy”. FOX News is compromised and questions regarding loyalty to our troops and commitment to our foreign policy goals arise. Why would any military facility allow or encourage a viewer ship of Fox News at their bases? How does a commander explain to the troops that they are to watch this propaganda network and somehow ignore the people helping to kill, murder and otherwise harm these viewers, are in fact principles of the media and support the efforts to reduce this viewer ship by killing them? Please explain how endorsing a “stand up guy” who aids and abets those who blow themselves and other people to bits isn’t an insult? I question the wisdom and policy of any DOD facility that encourages or promotes a business that attracts investors like Talal. Service members and their families deserve more respect than that.
For a very long time I have had my own campaign to turn off Fox. It is so offensive and so divisive for the country. When Fox is on, I either speak to the manager or write a note and give it to the manager of an establishment asking them not to run FOX because it is so divisive and spreads so much hatred. When an establishment is NOT running FOX, I ask for the manager or leave a note thanking them for being considerate of their customers. Hospitals are another story. They are the worst! So I was thrilled to be able to get the laser gadget that turns off Fox. I have used it with pleasure on numerous occasions where it is not feasible to speak to or leave a note with the manager. I always try to be polite when requesting they make a more mainstream choice that won’t offend any one.
